What are the features and
benefits of Gateway?
BMO Nesbitt Burns provides its clients with convenient access to their accounts. This is not just an electronic version of your account statement. In Gateway you will have access to numerous tools for organizing your financial data. The Virtual Portfolio feature allows you to create a list of securities outside of your actual holdings and track them over time. You can access prices on quotable securities and obtain the latest news and charts on the companies of your choice. Eligibleš clients can view BMO Nesbitt burns' top-ranked˛ equity research as well as proprietary mutual fund research and independent third party equity research. And if you need technical assistance, the Gateway technical support team is available Monday through Friday from 8AM to 6PM. But perhaps most important is that Gateway allows you to communicate more quickly and effectively with your Investment Advisor through the message center.

Is Gateway bi-lingual?
The entire Gateway site is available in both French and English, with
the exception of news and research reports as well as external exchange
agreements required for real-time quotes. The first time you log into
Gateway, the site will be displayed in the language you have selected
for your monthly statement. You can change your Gateway language preference
by selecting ‘Preferences’ from the top navigation bar,
clicking on the ‘Language’ tab and selecting your desired
language. The new language preference will take effect the next time
you sign into Gateway. |

Where is the Gateway site
located?
Gateway is located at https://gateway.bmonesbittburns.com.
Please note, preceding the Gateway URL with a ‘www’ will
result in a “Page Cannot Be Found” error message. |

Who can open a Gateway
account?
Gateway is available to BMO Nesbitt Burns clients only. If you do
not currently have a BMO Nesbitt Burns account and are interested
then apply now. |

How can I open
a Gateway account?
You need to complete the Gateway Client Agreement in order to view
your BMO Nesbitt Burns accounts online in Gateway. You can download
this Agreement if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed in your
computer. Alternatively, you can contact your Investment Advisor directly
to have the Agreement faxed, mailed or e-mailed to you. |

Is there a fee
associated with opening a Gateway account?
Gateway is offered to all BMO Nesbitt Burns clients free of charge.

How can I bookmark the Gateway site?
Web browsers provide bookmarks, which enable you to store your favourite
sites to revisit them in the future.
To bookmark Gateway in Internet Explorer:
- From your browser’s menu click on the ‘Favorites’ link
- Select the ‘Add to Favorites’ option from the ‘Favorites’ menu
- Ensure that ‘Welcome to BMO Nesbitt Burns Gateway’ is selected in the ‘Name:’ field
- Click on the ‘Ok’ button to bookmark Gateway
To bookmark Gateway in Mozilla Firefox:
- Click "Bookmarks" and select "Bookmark this page" on the Firefox menu bar.

Can I e-mail my
Investment Advisor directly from Gateway?
You can e-mail your Investment Advisor by clicking on the ‘Contact
my IA’ link located in the top right section of every page
in the Gateway site. In order for you to be able to use the link,
your browser must be configured to handle e-mail. If the ‘Contact
My IA’ link is not displayed in your Gateway screens, you will
need to contact your Investment Advisor to set it up. Please contact
the Gateway Helpdesk at 1-877-873-7664 for assistance in English or
1-877-873-7665 for assistance in French if you require technical support.

Can I change
my User ID?
Yes. You can customize your User ID to be any combination of letters
and numbers between 9 to 30 characters in length. To change your User
ID, simply log into Gateway, select the ‘Preferences’
link from the top navigation bar and click on the ‘User ID’
tab. Enter your new User ID in the field provided and click on the
‘Submit’ button. |

Can I change
my Login Password?
Yes. You can customize your login password to be any combination of

your Login Password, simply log into Gateway, select the ‘Preferences’
link from the top navigation bar and click on the ‘Login’
tab. Enter the information required in the fields provided and click

What should I
do if I forgot or lost my Gateway login password?
If you forgot or lost your login password and already entered Gateway
at least once, you can contact the Gateway helpdesk at 1-877-873-7664
for assistance in English or 1-877-873-7665 for assistance in French
to have your password reset. You will need to provide the Gateway
helpdesk analyst with the correct answer to a security question in
order to verify your identity. Alternatively, you may contact your
Investment Advisor, and s/he will reset your password for you. |

I keyed in the
wrong login password three times and I cannot get into my BMO Nesbitt
Burns Gateway account. What should I do?
For your protection, your password gets suspended when there are three
failed login attempts on your account. If your login password has
been suspended and you already entered Gateway at least once, you
can contact the Gateway helpdesk at 1-877-873-7664 for assistance
in English or 1-877-873-7665 for assistance in French to have your
password reset. You will need to provide the Gateway helpdesk analyst
with the correct answer to a security question in order to verify
your identity. Alternatively, you may contact your Investment Advisor,
and s/he will reset your password for you. |

Why does Gateway
time-out after 20 minutes if I have been inactive within the site?
For security reasons, if you do not perform any function in Gateway
for 20 minutes or over, you will automatically be signed out of the
site. |
